- To whom this may concern:
-
- We are graduate students from Carnegie Mellon University's Information
- Networking Institute. Currently we are working on a project to design
- and develop a "billing server" on the Internet. This "billing server"
- will provide billing functions for various service providers who could
- sell their information services electronically over the Internet. We
- believe that many of you could be potential service providers (our
- customers). Therefore, your input to this market survey will be valuable
- to the success of our project, and greatly appreciated.
-
- The "billing server" that we envision would include billing functions
- such as customized billing, invoice creation, service charge calculation
- and collection, centralzied authentication, topical directory service,
- and customer inquiry handling. Basically, it is like a credit card
- service for the electronic services available on the Internet.
-
- Following is a market survey that we are asking you to fill out for us.
- We greatly appreciate if you could respond to this survey as soon as
- possible. If possible, please reply by email, fax, or telephone calls.
-
-
- Sincerely yours,
-
-
